And the Fun Keeps On Keeping On

A few weeks ago I did a product review of Chobani yogurt. I had never done a review like that before, and certainly never had a response of that magnitude before. I am still blown away by what happened.

Boston.com featured my blog, and the post about Chobani, for 4 days! I had more hits to my blog in those 4 days than I had ever had before! Friends and family from all over the country went out, tried Chobani, and reported back their likes and dislikes! As if that were not awesome enough, the very cool (and social media savvy) people at Chobani offered to send me a "Samantha Pack" of Chobani! I still have a hard time believing that all of this happened just a few short weeks ago.

I have been using social media for my job for years, and personally for even longer. I have been reading blogs since they were invented and have been blogging myself for the better part of a year now. And yet, no matter how long I am involved in social and online media and communications, it never ceases to amaze me. The fact that I can write my opinion about a type of food, have thousands of people read it, hear from friends that have now gone out to try it, and then receive a package of the product from the company so I can try even more varieties, blows my mind. And that's just small scale, fun stuff. Using this same medium, revolutions have been cultivated and blossomed out of facebook and twitter in the one the most tumultuous regions in the world. Lives were saved and families reunited during largest natural disaster of our time. These accomplishments are no short of amazing and have truly changed the world in which we live and the way that we communicate.

This medium that I work and play in is so much more powerful than any of us could ever have imagined.

While I am well aware that what happened to my blog a few weeks ago pales in comparison to the remarkable and awe-inspiring events that have swept the globe recently, when this box arrived at my front door, I was so excited a literally jumped for joy. Hey, in these uncertain times it is the little things that get you through the day.

It's finally here!

Digging right in!

My own personally chosen "Samantha Pack"

Chobani officially took over our refrigerator

4 towers of goodness.

Josh and I can't wait to dive on in! Which Chobani flavors are your favorites? Do you have any great recipes to try using Chobani?

  3. That's awesome! Congrats!

the first chobani i tried was the vanilla kind, because vanilla is my favorite yogurt. I wasn't a fan, at least with the yogurt plain and nothing added into it. But I love the fruit flavors. strawberry-banana is my favorite. The texture is nice and rich, and is a perfect guilt free dessert.

  4. I love it! I actually use it in everything I bake, and in place of mayo, sour cream, etc. And...a bowl with ground flax seeds and fresh fruit is my fave snack. Keep up the blogging - its awesome!
