Meatless Monday: Tofu Parm

In honor of Meatless Monday, check out our answer to Chicken Parmesan.

Delicious meals like Tofu Parmesan make giving up meat so easy! Josh and I are eating significantly more tofu than we ever before, and this is hands down our best recipe yet. The flavor is out of this world, the texture is authentic, and overall the entire meal is beyond craveable.

Tofu and Breading Ingredients:
Tofu
Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Black Pepper
Lawry's
Italian Seasoning

Cut the tofu into thin rectangles

Bread tofu on all sides

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes

Parmesan Ingredients:
Angel Hair Pasta
Marinara Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese

After baking the tofu, add some marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese
Bake tofu again long enough to heat up the sauce and melt the cheese

Serve tofu over spaghetti and sauce

There is no way you can possibly miss the chicken in this dish. It is so delicious and so filling. If you are committed to going meatless, or just testing it out for a day, I highly recommend this meal.

How do you go meatless?

  3. what? this is so cute! i've never tried having tofu with a tomato based sauce. if you bake the tofu, you can get all the excess water out of it and it becomes tough kind of like a meat.

  5. @veggies, we were able to make the tofu firm by pressing it with a tofu press for about an hour, and then cutting it thin. Once the breading is on, it helps with the rest of the water and bakes up nicely. The consistency is very meat like...and super tasty!

@Tiffany, let me know how it goes. It is def a must try!
