James Place Inn

This past weekend, Josh and I went up to Maine for a family Bar Mitzvah. We had a blast. As fun as Bar/Bat Mitzvahs are as kids, as adults, they are a million times better. I am now old enough to appreciate how hard it is for a 13-year-old to lead a service like that, I actually enjoy don’t mind being at services, and it is nice to see family who do not live near us. I also LOVE a good dance party and cake :)

While in Maine, Josh and I decided to turn the weekend into a mini get-a-way. We spent the night at the James Place Inn in Freeport, ME. It was an adorable Bed and Breakfast just a block or two from all of the outlet shopping and ice cream eating. The couple who own the B and B were really nice and inviting. The atmosphere of the place was welcoming, comfortable, and not obtrusive. The rooms were also really sweet and really felt homey.

The Inn was located on a super cute street with really nice landscaping
The Inn itself was adorable. We loved the look of the house and the way it was decorated
Our room was great - very comfortable and cozy
The bathroom was unbelievable with a HUGE tub and a separate shower and toilet area
In the morning, there was a super delicious breakfast. Although we didn’t eat too much because we had breakfast plans, we could not pass up some homemade coffee cake. If we had stayed for breakfast we would have been treated to pancakes, eggs to order, spinach and goat cheese quiche, and muffins. They all smelled amazing! It was definitely difficult to not eat everything in sight. The coffee was also pretty tasty and I took some for the road (I never turn down coffee!).

Our night at the James Place Inn was great. Both Josh and I wished we could have stayed for the whole weekend instead of just one night. We are already trying find another weekend to go back.

I highly recommend staying at James Place if you are ever in the Freeport area.
