Election Day!

Today is the day to make a stand. Today is your turn to tell the world not only how you want our country run, but how to hold a peaceful and fair election.

The biggest tool we have in the War on Terror is our political process. In many places around the world, elections are not held, are not fair, and the transition of power is violent. In this country, we have the freedom to voice our opinions. We are encouraged to choose the leader we want, and we are allowed to do this in a safe environment where our lives are not in danger. This is the example we set.

It is our duty as American citizens to vote in every election. It is a right and an obligation that we should never take for granted. Many people feel that their vote does not count or it is only necessary to vote in a presidential election. This is not true. With our country being so divided and so much riding on every race, it is more important than ever to stand up, be counted, and help make history.

It does not matter which party you belong to, the candidate you support, or the issues that inspire you. What matters is that today, you exercise your right. So please join me in voting today. And after you do, wear your 'I Voted' sticker for all to see. Today is the day we can change history.
